Board certified adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner
Lara Rodeffer is a certified adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP-BC) with a strong background in healthcare. She began her healthcare journey in 2008, starting as a registrar in the emergency department and later transitioning to the role of an emergency department technician. In 2016, Lara successfully completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Cincinnati. Following her graduation, she dedicated the next five years of her career as an emergency department RN. Driven by her passion for nursing, Lara pursued further education and returned to the University of Cincinnati to obtain her MSN in 2021.
Since then, she has been working as a critical care nurse practitioner in the ICU. Lara has gained valuable experience working at both Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana, and TriHealth in Cincinnati. She continues to provide occasional cross coverage at TriHealth during night shifts.
Lara's interest in pulmonary medicine grew during her time at Reid Health, where she had the opportunity to collaborate closely with various pulmonologists daily. Joining Pulmonary Medicine of Dayton has allowed her to specialize in pulmonology while still dedicating time to the ICU. Outside of her professional endeavors, Lara finds joy in her personal life. She is happily married and a proud mother of four children. In her free time, she likes to travel, binge-watch television shows, and watch hockey, especially the Boston Bruins.
