Aamir Malik, MD, DSM
Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, Neurocritical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Internal Medicine
Dr. Aamir Malik graduated from college in Pakistan in 1991. He completed his residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, which is affiliated with MCP Heinemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Following this, he pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Additionally, Dr. Malik is board-certified in Neurocritical Care.
Since 2006, Dr. Malik has been practicing in the Dayton area, working at various hospitals including Good Samaritan Hospital, Wayne Hospital in Greenville, Miami Valley Hospital, Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, and Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. He has extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient care for pulmonary, critical care, and sleep patients.
Dr. Malik's clinical interests encompass COPD, asthma, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, and sleep disorders such as insomnia.
On a personal note, Dr. Malik is married and has four children. He enjoys participating in recreational sports like squash, golf, jogging, bicycling, and weight training. He also loves traveling to different parts of the world to experience various cultures and is an avid reader.
Dr. Malik joined Pulmonary Medicine of Dayton in January 2024.
